Main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland successfully tendered for a £33 million project to create a new Faculty of Arts building for the University of Warwick. With the site fenced off for commencement of the two year project, a huge blank canvas comprising nearly 300m of hoarding was available and the client wanted to use this to demonstrate their creative arts, performance and visual arts offering in a very visual and eye-catching way. Graphic Arts Group were asked to produce high specification and hardwearing printed hoarding panels to cover this area.
For maximum longevity and smart appearance, we recommended using aluminium composite panelling with vibrant full colour printed and laminated graphics. The wide-format panels were printed in-house by Graphic Arts Group to a very tight deadline. Our team worked shifts over extended days to get the work done in time! Just two weeks from receipt of print ready artwork to installation by our own fitting teams.
We liaised directly with the design agency, client marcomms team, university estates team and the main contractors, Bowmer Kirkland, to ensure that everything was on-brief, produced correctly and installed on-time. As the site closely adjoined roadways, we were also involved in traffic management and planning to minimise the disruption caused during installation. The client was delighted with the finished result and fast-turnaround achieved on the project.
“I went to see the hoardings as they were being installed and they look fantastic, thank you!” “We’ve been getting lots of great feedback…we think they’re looking great!”
